summer time!

Thu Jul 9, 2009, 9:53 AM

commissions? why thankyou!

......................................

when it's too hot in Britain you know something's wrong, really, it's TOO hot here, but what do I go and do? well, being a Scot naturally I'm gonna go somewhere HOTTER!!

yep, next week I'm off to see my darling ~Demyrie in Oklahoma! where her family love me so much they're taking me on a awesome family holiday up to Eureka Springs, cute name!

then we're both off the Comic con, which, has sold out. uh oh, did that happen last year? (does that have something to do with Twilight fans?) oh well, we've got our tickets and boarding anyways.

so I'm going to be CRAMMING my creator project 'Forgotten Muse' down people's necks, and if they don't take it WELL I'll just try and get it published in Europe, I'll let you guys know whatever happens, even if nothing happens, it'll be a boring anecdote but I'll tell you anyway!

other from that I'm not sticking around anywhere. I'm going to the portfolio reviews and all that malarkey

so hasn't this summer sucked at the movies so far? it seems that writers strike has finally caught up with some of the movies that I was REALLY looking forward to. I guess a movie DOES need a plot huh?

Wolverine: Origins, I know I'm beating a dead horse with this but man did that movie make me MAD! not even Hugh Jackman nekkid saved it, and what was with those HORRIBLE claws?!!! eeewww, I needed to scrub my eyes out and watch the good ol' Bryan Singer movies after that abortion

Tranformers: 'Megan Fox's ass and explosions'...uhh I mean 'Revenge of the Fallen'. what the hell was that? did I just get stuck in a stampede? cause my head hurts after watching that thing. just a VERY sloppy movie.

I've got no problem with taking SOME liberties with the characters (because some of them were devoid of personality anyway lets face it) but at least if you're going to put them in there give them some lines for Sparks sake! I couldn't even tell who was in there....shit, I STILL don't know. nor do I give a rats ass.

aaaannnnddd because we're Britain, we don't have 'Up' yet, which would have injected some happiness into my movie going summer, I don't think we're getting it till October! and by then I'll be thinking of the ';Princess and the Frog' which we get in FEBRUARY!!

so I'm seeking some solace in the animation of yester year, so I can feel older and a bit nostalgic. youtube just has everything doesn't it?

like this! [link] Disney's version of Franquin's 'Marsupilami' still holding resolutely onto his brilliant style but giving him a wee bit more character and look at that fluid animation! *heart*

also, something you can't get on DVD (WHHHYYYY???) one of the many classically animated Asterix and Obelix films based on the comics that mean so much to me.

ah, I feel better now, don't you?

see ya state side folks!
