thought of this concept a wee while ago. but with the Edinburgh 'Colony of Artists' coming up in September.

the idea is a children's book with that ancient retoric of 'being yourself': A dodo finds an old victorian etching book of birds washed up on the shore of his island and he finds them all so interesting he wonders if he could be more like them.

but dodo's, as history will show, are usless. hehe. cute though.

Still, that's terribly cute. He reminds me of Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh. And, of course, there's the quote:

Eagles may soar, but a weasel will never get sucked into a jet engine. :D
