I know I know, it should be in black and white. sorry.

this is for my sweetie ~Licheloathe seee you don't have to ask me to draw you something! sometimes I'm just bored enough to do it anyways.

kidding. you know, I LOVE Basil Rathbone's Holmes. Downey Jr's was fun, but not as Trite, suave and reserved as Holmes is in my head.

these films are so much fun!

It was weird because we went to see Avatar in 3D: this technically awe inspiring movie that uses the most up to date computer programmes money can buy. then we went home and stuck on a 1930's black and white Sherlock Holmes one. I almost had more fun. do you know why?

they weren't shoving it down my throat that it was the WORLD'S MOST ANTICIPATED MOVIE EVER! a run up like that is just going to disappoint me to be honest.

shut up about it already.

anyways. tweed is scratchy.

Sherlock Holmes- Conan Doyle (another great Scot)

God, your stuff is so cool O.O I love your style. How long did you have to rain yourself before you could draw easily?

well, it's never easy, I've never found it easy. I train every day, for hours and pretty much have done since I was very young. Alot of time of an artists career is just spent practicing and trying to get to the level that you've see yourself at. Good luck.

I personally love Basil Rathbone's Sherlock Holmes!
That's why I like the classics much, much better than the "awe-inspiring" 3-D flicks these days. They're less show-offy and they get their point. And, to be frank, THE WORLD'S MOST ANTICIPATED MOVIE EVER featured ten-foot tall cat people.
Very well done.

0.0 Fan art of Sherlock Holmes? Instant fav in my book! :D

I agree I love Rathbone's take on Holmes. So far the only other actor whom I thought played the role well was...Jeremy Brett I believe is his name?

I have a few of the old radio shows with Rathbone and Bruce, and I absolutely love it. The only thing to me, personally, that gets shoved down my throat are the advertisements they used on the radio shows. If I ever come across a bottle of Petri Wine, I'm smashing it to smithereens! Rrrgh.

Back on track, I must say that I'm very impressed with this. I like the colored version, I believe it's fine, but if you wanted to make a black and white version that would give off a nice touch too. I don't really have a critique, I think it's very well done. :)

Oi, Sherlock Holmes fanart! And perfectly drawn, nontheless! :aww:

lol I hadn't read/watched old-school Sherlock Holmes before, went to see the new film and loved it... I ended up at home with a whole pile of SH novels! ;) I thought I'd never find anything more amazing than the RDJ+JL duo.... but then I watched the new BBC Sherlock series and by brain went UNF KAPOOSH!!
