war of the worlds

No one would have believed that
in the last years of the 19th century,
that human affairs where being watched
from the timeless worlds of space.
No one could have dreamed we were being scrutinized,
as someone with a microscope studies creatures
that swarm and multiply in a drop of water.
Few man even considered the possibility of life on other planets;
and yet, across the gulf of space,
minds immeasurably superior to ours
regarded this Earth with envious eyes,
and slowly and surely
they drew their plans against us.

this is for my wee sister's birthday. she was looking for posters of the art that came with one of our favourite musicals of all time. there's wasn't any that wasn't just the front cover of the CD. so I recreated it. I didn't change much, and no one needs to redesign the tripods.....cause to this day, 20 years later, they're still PERFECT!

man that musical gives me goosebumps, STILL. this made up my childhood and everytime I heard a creak or anything went bump in the night, I was positive it was those martians coming to get us.

if you listened to it now it might be a bit tame, but you just don't understand man, you'll NEVER UNDERSTAND *CRIES*
